Chief Robert Opara, a gubernatorial aspiring candidate for the People’s Party of Nigeria, PPN thanks Imo people for their solid support and faith in him during the party’s primaries process.
Chief Opara in a press release through his Director of multimedia and publicity, Demola Sanyaolu says he is also very appreciative of goodwill messages and confidence in his innate leadership to steer Imolites out of the woods if given the mandate.
Chief Opara stresses that he is not bothered about INEC’s publication of names of the gubernatorial candidates for the 2019 elections.
He has to come out with a statement due to calls and concerns of political supporters, spiritual and financial sponsors who are obviously worried over the non publication of his name thus far.
He assures everyone that It is an ongoing process by INEC since the candidate’s substitution deadline is December, 2018.
Chief Opara is confident to participate in the election in whatever capacity the party, PPN, obliges him, as a loyal party member.
In his own words, “I am fully committed to devote my energy, resources and grassroots political structures to ensure that the failed APC(under any candidate), PDP or APGA will never win the 2019 elections in imo state.
These three failed parties have brought Imo to the present doldrums and failed status. I am ready and willing to provide the requisite leadership necessary to reposition the state with an initial stimulus package and long-term strategic economic plan that will witness dramatic upsurge in infrastructural development, raise employment level in the state, establish industrial, commercial and business clusters that guarantee inflow of foreign direct investments in the state.
These clusters will also guarantee Nigeria’s private sector participation in the stimulation of economic activities in the state while the government under our watch provides independent power projects, security, access roads and enabling tranquil environment for a thriving business in the state.”
Chief Opara assures loyalists and supporters of regular updates as events unfold.
