In a transparent and well organized congress held at the party secretariat in Ogun State capital, Abeokuta today 23rd July, 2018, Comrade Sanyaolu Abayomi emerged as the chairman of Democratic Alternative party amongst others to run the affairs of the party for the tenure of four years.
The congress was witnessed by officers of the party from National headquarters led by National Chairman , Prince Frank Ukonga, Others are officials of Independent National Electoral Commission Officers led by Mr Yinusa Isaa, Mrs Adeniyi V. F, Mrs Kuforiji D. O, Mr Ogunbowale E. O, and men of Nigeria Police Force; Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps; Department of State Services, and some independent observers.”
Announcing the results; the national chairman, Prince Frank Ukonga implore the newly elected executives to be magnanimous in victory.
The state chairman, Comrade Sanyaolu Abayomi reassured all and sundry that Democratic Alternative DA will rescue Ogun State people from hunger and inhumanly payment of half salary known as one of be the Achilles hills of the incumbent administration.
“Democratic Alternative has solutions to all the problems our people are facing at the moment. I implore members to join hands with me in rescuing Ogun State from the current mess.” said Sanyaolu.
The national chairman DA, Prince Frank Ukonga also said “I’m happy because all the members are youths and qualified to govern the state with the energy which they have been putting to place.”
Frowned at the youths selling votes which he described as a very bad idea, urged the youths to collect all the politicians money but vote for Democratic Alternative Party.
However, exhorted whoever is yet to get his/her permanent voter’s card to please do so because that’s the only portent weapon needed to effect the real positive change in the state.
Comrade Ogundimu Deji, expressed his satisfaction about the conduct of the congress, urging the INEC officials to make sure all permanent voters cards are released to people who have registered but yet to have their cards.
“Truly, a blind man can attest to the transparency of this election which its type still remains a rarity.”
