The Delta State governorship candidate on the platform of Change Advocacy Party (CAP), Mrs. Gloria Okolugbo, on Tuesday, said it is the turn of the people of Delta North senatorial zone to produce the next governor of the state.
This was contained in a press statement signed by her media director, Mr. Emmanuel Ajoku and made available to newsmen in Benin City.
According to her “It was indeed the turn of Delta North senatorial zone to produce a governor for the state for the sake of fairness and equity”
She also decried the high level of youth unemployment in the state noting that her reason for throwing her hat into the ring was to create jobs for the teeming youths.
She said she will be launching her campaign with the presentation of her manifestoes and the road map towards transformation of the oil rich region to a realm of massive development, connecting infrastructural provision with real interventions that translate to meaningful impact in the life of the people.
“I will address issues like access to renewable energy, create the link between urban drift and put food on the table of the masses.
“Driving the economy through high yield production while subsiding haulage with a view to bringing Deltans up to speed with the modern mechanized farming, and the introduction of modular refineries in the region.
