2023: Group Rates PDP Reps Candidate High, Seeks For More Support

 

 

 

Sahara Weekly Reports That as political activities begin to assume a new dimension across the country, a pressure group; Ijebu Youths For Good Governance has solicited for the re-election of the Deputy Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Hon Abdel-Majid Adekoya who recently emerged as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ijebu Area of Ogun state.

 

 

 

Hon Adekoya, prominently known as Attacker in the Nigeria political cicle is seeking re-election for the Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside federal constituency.

 

 

 

 

The group in a press statement signed by its Secretary, Alhaji Ibraheem Aderibigbe and made available to journalists stated that no lawmaker in the constituency has ever done what Hon Adesegun has achieved in the history of the constituency, stressing that the former Commissioner for Works in Ogun state and a two-time federal lawmaker has touched every aspects of the constituents lives since assuming office as their representatives.

 

 

 

 

“We have been watching the developmental strides of Hon Adekoya in the last few years and we have come to the conclusion that this man whose contacts at the Green Chamber, his charismatic leadership and unflinching support to grassroots development deserves another term”

 

 

 

 

“As at the last count, he has through his office as a Principal officer at the House of Representatives attracted over 186 visible projects across the federal constituency. No fewer than 102 projects in Ijebu North which happens to be the largest local government in the federal constituency, Ijebu East 43 projects and about 41 in Ogun Waterside LGs respectively.

 

 

 

 

The consistent spate of achievements include school development, renovation of healthcare facilities, construction and renovation of urban roads, rural grading of roads, rural and bridge construction, construction of community halls and grassroots erosion centers , rural and urban water works; motorised boreholes and market development.

 

 

 

 

Other projects completed so far were opening of ICT office, rural and urban electrification, solar electrification, development of riverine areas, employment, training, skill acquisition and various empowerment schemes.

 

 

 

The group appealed to indigenes and residents of the federal constituency to rally round Hon Adekoya in order to sustain the legacy projects being witnessed in the area.
