Detective from Bariga Divisional police station, in an intelligence operation have arrested 35 years old Adegboro Odunwole (aka Gobe) as the ring leader Aiye factional confraternity.
The suspect is dreaded leader of a the group who has murdered no fewer than 3 innocent residents of Bariga area of Lagos metropolis in the last nine months .
According to sources, who did not want his name mentioned said that the suspect has been on the watch list of the command.
The alleged suspect is responsible for series of violent attacks and killings in Bariga. Apart from various attack, he murdered one Odutayo on 24th of April 2019 in cool blood in presence of his 10year child in their apartment,after two weeks of his arrest he came back to the community.
Our fear is that there is serious controversy that top policican are coming for his bail because he is their political thugs .
Another resident who spoke on the condition of anonymity said: “Bariga is now a beehive of cult activities; it’s news of one death or the other since beginning of this year . We residents are afraid for our lives; we don’t sleep with our eyes closed and go to bed early with fear in our heart’s of who would be next, said source.
Another opined that incisive action is the solution to ridding the area of cult activities.
“We the good people of Bariga are appealing; we need help, incisive action taken to serve as deterrent to others to not toe path of vices and criminality, as this is the only way to secure and keep together the fabric of our society.
The residents are appealing to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu to come to their aids to save them from the suspect and his godfather who is making all possible best bring back to the community .
