39 year old man arrested over the death of keke driver

The detective of Lagos State Police Command have identified driver, who allegedly killed a tricycle rider, Bassy Aniete, along Akerele street, Shitta Surulere by Falolu area .

DSP Bala Elkana,the command spoke person disclosed that one Christian Innocent, a 39 years old man of No 28 James Robertson street surulere was arrested through a press statement .

According to Bala, the incident happen on 11th August at about 21.30hour,Surulere police station received a distress call from Randle hospital surulere that one Aniete Bassy ‘m’ a tricycle operator was bought to the hospital with a broken head but died on arrival.

He said that the divisional police officer of surulere,CSP Jimoh Jabaje led his team of detective that arrested the suspect.

The suspect was trailed after a thorough painstaking examination of available traces the jeep driver was identified.

He confessed to have engage the deceased in a fight over who has the right on the road. We had hot argument between us for driving rough before I used my wheel spanner to hit his head .

The suspect will been charged to Court.
