Abiodun assures of end to educational crises in Ogun

The All Progressives Congress,APC, governorship candidate in Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun has assured parents and Students in Ogun state-owned tertiary institutions to watch out for an end to incessant crises in Schools, if elected to govern the state in March 2nd.

The APC governorship candidate gave this promise while addressing the students of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye during his ward to ward campaign of the Ifelodun Constituency, Ijebu North Local Government in the Ogun east senatorial district of the state.

He said, ‘I want to assure of utmost priority to the improvement of education standard in the State and i would maintain a frequent connection with the students in a bid to hear their plights through Town Hall meetings at least twice every year of my administration. I sincerely appreciate the ways and manners at which you have articulated your points and i am assuring that as a son of teachers, i will ensure that we formulate a policy that will address all the lingering crises in the education sector.

It would be recalled that the state-owned tertiary institutions have been bedeviled with recurrent crises due to unfriendly policies of the present administration.

The Oil magnate emphasised that education remained the greatest legacy any government could give his people.

Speaking earlier on behalf of the students, President of the Students Union of the institution, Comrade Akinbo Afolabi Olamide widely known as Kempes, advised the entrepreneur to formulate students-friendly educational policies when he emerged.
He said, ‘Our incoming governor, we have been looking for this opportunity to interact with you and see what you have for us before we declare our support for you.

The education standard of this State has deteriorated and the school fees becoming unbearable to the common man; I want to plead to you to address these menace as soon as you get to office because i believe you are the next governor of Ogun State. He expressed that the students always suffered alot when government refuses to give a listening ear to students.

Meanwhile, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has assured residents of Ago-Iwoye of speedy completion of the abandoned Ilishan-Ago-Iwoye road upon assumption of office as governor of the gateway state.

The business mogul pointed out that the road and other roads that had been abandoned across the State by the present administration would be put to use as soon as he gets to office as governor. He gave the assurance while addressing Baales, Market women , Artisans, members of Community Development Committee,CDC in the Ifelodun constituency of Ago-Iwoye.

He said ‘ I am in this race to bring a new Dawn to the State. I am leaving my comfort zone (The private sector) to make my own impact. I am not someone who will promise and fail you . I will ensure that even development is given to every part of Ogun state’.

The campaign team also paid a royal visit to the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, His Royal Highness Oba Abdul Rasaq Adenugba.
