Sahara Weekly Reports That The National body of Anti -Corruption Awareness Organization Nigeria (ACAON) has appealed to the Federal government under the leadership of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu as matter of urgency to improve the economic policy of his administration as it’s really bitting so hard on the citizens especially the less privileged ones.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alhaji Kola Adeyemi, the Chairman, Board of Trustees of ACAON made this known to journalist in an online press briefing yesterday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Adeyemi said that the security situation in Nigeria has turned into a mockery stage and stressed on the need to fund all the security agencies effectively to enable them carry out their duties.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He, noted with dismay that the present political parties and their leaderships are toying with the nation’s democracy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“What is happening within the various political parties at all levels across some states shows that politicians never had the interest of the masses at heart but rather their own selfish interest.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Imagine the crisis in Rivers and Kano states and presently Edo State where the Deputy Governor was impeached just few months for the present administration to go, all these are considered as unhealthy and dangerous to our democracy and Nigerian at large.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“I wonder if the our children still have hope in this country, our political leaders and stakeholders in various parties must play important roles to check mate their representatives and arrest the situations before its blown out of proportion”.

 

He commended Mr President on the recent “Students Loan Bill Accent, saying that if the implementation is properly guided, it will checkmate the unwarranted increments of school fees at all our higher institutions.

 

He felicitated Christians for the recent Easter celebration and also the Muslims faithful on the occasion of the 2024 Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

 

He tasked every follower of Islam with incorporating the spiritual lessons of love, peace, and justice from Ramadan into their everyday lives in order to promote national harmony, peace, and progress taught by Jesus Christ/ Prophet Muhammed .

 

He welcomed the new Deputy Governor of Edo state, Engr Godwin Omobayo Marvelous to his new assignments in Edo State.

 

He equally prayed for the immediate impeached Deputy Governor Comrade Philip Shuaib and urged him to take it in good faith as he has been appealing to his supporters to remained calmed and let the law take it’s cause in order not to bridge the peace in Edo State politics and Nigeria by extension.
