The new Chairman of Ijebu East Local Governmen, Hon. Adetutu Elizabeth Oyesanya, has been sworn-in following the recent impeachment of the former Chairman, Mr. Wale Adedayo over financial mismanagement and misappropriation by the Legislative House.
The ceremony, which was held at the conference room of the local government secretariat Ogbere, l the oath of office and oath of allegiance were administered by Barrister Taofeek Lawal.
In her response, the chairman Hon. Adetutu Elizabeth Oyesanya thanked all the people of Ijebu East local government for standing by her . She promised to run an all-inclusive administration with prudent financial management in her dealings as the chairman.
She said it’s a privilege for her to be the chairman and her doors are open for constructive advice, as she has listening ears for all members of her administration including the career officers.
The chairman used the occasion to thank the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his developmental projects in Ijebu East local government and thereby pledged her loyalty to the governor and members of his administration in Ogun state
The ceremony had in attendance secreatry to the local government , Mr. Sina Ipaye, other supervisors , advisers and consultants. Also in attendance was the Head of Local Administration along with other directors and head of departments.
