The shout of Pasewonda, Pasewonda, Pasewonda rented the air on Saturday during the coronation ceremony of Oba Emmanuel Ademola Olusanu, the Ajalaiye of Ilugun South in Ijebu North East Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Otunba Rotimi Paseda, cladded in his usual white Agbada regalia stormed the St. John Anglican School playing ground, Idode venue of the coronation ceremony with UPN party loyalists.
Welcoming the Omu-Ijebu born business mogul cum politician to the playing ground with his lyrics, the popular Apala Fuji musician, Musiliu Haruna-Ishola who was on band stand echoed Otunba Paseda’s name for about thirty minutes to draw the attention of both the fun seekers and invited guests.
Otunba Rotimi Paseda who could not hide his joy, danced to the lyrics of the Apala Fuji Star to the admiration of the paramount rulers and mammoth crowd at the venue.
The newly crowned Oba Ademola Oluseyi Olusanu and teeming royal fathers present at the coronation party later joined Otunba Paseda on the band stand.
Speaking shortly after the installation ceremony, Otunba Paseda congratulated the good people Ilugun South on the historic occasion, stressing that the installation of Oba Olusanu would bring uneven development and progress to the ancient town.
Paseda while thanking Governor Ibikunle Amosun for restoring the Ajalaiye title back to the Ilugun South community after the demise of late His Royal Highness Oba Gregory Banjo, called on the State government to rehabilitate the bad condition of roads leading to the community to fast-track development.
The UPN governorship candidate therefore called on sons and daughters of the town to come home and establish small-scale, agro-allied industries for the development of the town.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion include; the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Jide Ojuko, the transition Chairman, Ijebu North East Local Government, Hon. Deola Tayo, the representative of Awujale of Ijebuland, Degburewe of Idowa, the Ajalorun of Ijebu-Ife, Oba Adesesan, the Ebunmawe of Ago-Iwoye, and other prominent royal fathers.
