Sahara Weekly Reports That Former Director of Media & Publicity for Akeredolu’s 2012 campaign, Idowu Ajanaku, delved into the historical dynamics of Akeredolu’s deputy governors, drawing a sharp contrast between the perceived outsider in 2016 and the current deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Ajanaku recounted how Aiyedatiwa, the present governor, provided Akeredolu with a bulletproof car in 2012 when he emerged as the ACN candidate, fostering a positive relationship. He stressed the challenges faced with the first deputy, attributing them to a lack of understanding of Akeredolu and the party. Contrarily, Ajanaku highlighted the synergy between Aiyedatiwa and Akeredolu, refuting claims of any animosity.
