AKINWUNMI AMBODE SCORES INEC LOW “THEY HAVE BEEN UNIMPRESSIVE,PDP BRIBED VOTERS IN EPE”

The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode has accused the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP of bribing voters in his ward in Epe local Government Area of the state.
Ambode who along with his wife, voted at Ogunmodede Secondary School, Ward A5, Polling Unit 3, Epe and after the votes had been counted, he revealed to the media that there were PDP members giving cash to voters and that help President Goodluck Jonathan secure 71 votes.
He however expressed happiness that the APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari won the ward with 97 votes.
DURING THE ELECTIONS
Akinwunmi Ambode and his amiable wife, Abimbola were among the first set of votes at Ward A5, Polling Unit 3, Epe Local Government Area of Lagos state. The Lagos state governorship candidate with his team, walked in to Ogunmodede Junior Secondary School were the polling unit is located at around 2.44PM on Saturday to cast his vote having been accredited at the centre earlier. Ambode spoke to journalists immediately after casting his vote. Excerpts…
Sir, how would you describe the atmosphere of the elections so far?
Well, as you can see, the atmosphere here in Ward A5 is very peaceful. We have no issues at all about whether the elections are peaceful or not; Infact in the whole of Epe Local Government.
Is that to say that INEC has been perfect so far?
No no, not at all! INEC has so far been unimpressive.  In fact, you will observe that in this polling unit beside us here (points to polling unit at Ogunmodede Senior Secondary School), they are yet to start voting and this is past 3.00PM already. It’s simply a proof of INEC’s short comings.
Again, I am also getting reports from areas like Gbagada, Iyana-Oworo and Agboyi-Ketu that accreditation is yet to start. So right now, we are trying to get INEC to do something about the sad situation in those areas.
What about the turn out; are you impressed?
Yes, I am impressed. People have turned out in large numbers to exercise their rights. Nigerians want a change. We are hopeful that at the end of the day, their votes will count.
