Alleged Defamation: Ogun LP Chairman, Comrade Abayomi Demands Urgent Retraction in 72hours

Frontline politician and Ogun State Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Comrade Arabambi Abayomi has challenged the Abeokuta South Local Government factional women leader of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Bose Olunla to urgently retract an alleged defamatory audio recording in 72 hours.

Speaking to journalists, Comrade Abayomi alleged that the audio recording which Olunla had maliciously released into circulation to damage his reputation must be retracted with a public statement of apology and both should be posted on the same loop through which the audio was released.

He also demanded that the public apology statement be published in three national dailies or he will explore legal options.

The aggrieved politician also alleged that Olunla who is loyal to Ladi Adebutu has been on a mission to impugn his character and damage his hard-earned reputation through her ill-conceived actions.

Explaining the issues, he said, ‘Bose Olunla, of course, you know that the law does not recognize you as such. In the course of your silly impersonation, you recorded audio of statements that you caused to be circulated in the public which grossly assassinated my Character, put me into disrepute and highly impugned and defamed my reputation.’

“You mentioned and defamed extensively two gentlemen Hon Kayode Amusan and  Prince  Gboyega Nasiru Isiaka (GNI), to damage their high reputation through your lies. “

“Though you tried to give the impression that it was Ladi Adebutu who put you up to the hatchet job against me for my involvement in the PDP congresses, I put it to you that you are the individual whose voice was on the recorded audio release.

Ordinarily, I could have ignored you but you have attacked many respectable personalities and it’s important to set the records straight.”

Abayomi also described the recently suspended Ogun State PDP Chairman, Engr Bayo Dayo, as a treacherous PDP  fifth columnist who has now ended with Bose Olunla group after his mess at the LP.

“Note, one striking reason that was considered to persuade me to give you the opportunity of retraction and apology is the widely circulating unconfirmed news that the very person Hon Ladi Adebutu who led you into this ugly legal implication has right undergoing COVID – 19 test at LUTH

We of course sympathize with him but If finally this is true , we wish him a quick recovery.

In all of this we are sure that that you BOSE will be confronted soonest with the too foolish errand you ran for him. That is the cause of the easier route of apology and retraction pending the outcome of the unconfirmed news”
