Amazing! Apostle Suleman Begins Repair of 214km Abuja-Okene Expressway

Apparently, it is the duty of government to provide amenities for the people, because it collects tax from them. However, like few others in its class, the Apostle Johnson Suleman-led church of God, Omega Fire Ministries (OFM), has come in to lend a big support apparently because those saddled with the task of caring are failing in this wise.

The ministry has activated the refurbishment of a section of the 214-kilometre Abuja-Okene expressway, stated the servant of God in a Monday afternoon Twitter post.

Despite billions of naira reportedly budgeted on this road over the years, it still remains a threat to human life, with innocent tax payers whose money is being budgeted for the supposed rehabilitation plans dying and spending hours traveling before reaching their destinations due to its terrible condition.

Announcing his church’s corporate social intervention, Suleman’s Twitter post suggested that, even though, it is the government’s primary duty to cater for the people they tax, it appears the people are being denied their basic needs which is tantamount to unfaithfulness on the government’s part and shirking its responsibilities.

He wrote:

“We have just commenced working on Abuja/Okene Expressway. Waiting for the federal government won’t yield results. So, as a ministry, we have to do it.”

Apostle Suleman’s ministry, however, does not limit its CSR to roads construction and provision of social amenities; it also regularly empowers its members. And, despite government’s sneaky attitude on its responsibilities, the church has a solid programme that covers many areas of needs of the people.

“We have built schools, we built NYSC secretariat, modeled prisons, healthcare centres, boreholes, we provide books for schools, offer scholarships to students, renovate public properties and many more and we hand them over to the government,” he added while inside sources say the ministry has even gone to the extent of donating facilities for the convenience of members of the police force.
