Angry residents protest over INEC announcement of Jimoh Ibrahim as PDP Ondo Governorship candidate

Aggrieved members of PDP in Ondo state are currently staging a protest in the state capital, Akure, following INEC’s decision to recognize billionaire businessman, Jimoh Ibrahim, as the PDP candidate in the November 26th governorship election in the state.

Jimoh Ibrahim who belongs to the camp of the Factional PDP leader, Ali Modu Sheriff, was yesterday recognized by the electoral body over Ahmed Makarfi-faction’s candidate, Eyitayo Jegede.

INEC however revealed that Mr. Ibrahim was approved as candidate based on an order from the Federal High Court in Abuja presided over by Justice Okon Abang.
