From Elvis Omoregie, Benin City

A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State, Mr. Roy Osa  Osarieme has appealed to residents of the state to support government developmental projects.

He also tasked them to shun street trading that has defaced the city center.

He made the appeal while fielding questions from newsmen in his office in Benin City yesterday.

Roy said  citizens of the state should do everything possible to sustain all developmental projects of any governments and should not hamper the progressive  movement  of the state.

The ardent party faithful noted that the recent public display of wares on walkways by traders is what everybody must stand up against.

“All Edolites must stand against street trading on walkways, indiscriminate parking of vehicles and loading of passengers by commercial bus drivers because it cause chaotic traffic jam in the city metropolis.

“The risk associated with the street trading cannot be overemphasized, therefore, let everybody come together and support the government to discourage the act”, he said.

The loyalist called on the government to do its best to reposition the Oba Ovaranmen Square while making sure citizens comply with the state master plan.

He commended the state government, led by Mr. Godwin Obaseki on his courage to abolish illegal ticketing across the length and breath of the state adding that such decision was in a right step in the right direction.

He said the recent infrastructural development and programs of Mr. Godwin Obaseki  since he assumed office as the governor have pointed  that he means well for the state.

He also said his victory at the tribunal has further reaffirmed that he was the chosen one and that there is nobody that can upturn the will of the people of the state.

He solicited the  corporation of all sons and daughters of the state both home and abroad to support the present administration in order to consolidate on the environmental and public utility policy of the previous administration.
