APC SUPPORT GROUPS STORM LAGOS GOVT HOUSE IN SUPPORT OF ASIWAJU’S PRESIDENCY
Ahead of the May 29, 2023, presidential inauguration of President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the umbrella body of all APC support groups in Nigeria, the Amalgamated APC Support Groups, South West zone, under the leadership of Alhaji Ganiyu Akeem Adesina and Dr Erinola Abayomuyiwa Eric, the Lagos State coordinator of the group, today staged a solidarity walk to the Lagos State seat of power to register their support for the May 29, 2023 inauguration of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to register their disagreement with those trying to fan the embers of division in the country over rumours making the rounds that some aggrieved opposition party figures are clamouring for the federal government to rather inaugurate an Interim National Government (ING) instead of inaugurating the winner of the February 25, 2023 presidential election.
Briefing media men at the event, the South West coordinator of the group, Alhaji Ganiyu Akeem Adesina, said the solidarity walk was organized to show the strong and unflinching determination of the APC support groups in the South West to see that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is inaugurated as President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria come May 29, 2023.
Speaking, Alhaji Ganiyu Akeem Adesina said the support groups have an overwhelming support base of over five million people in the South West alone.
He said the walk is a strong warning to those who believe they can subvert the will of the generality of Nigerians and force the President to go against the constitution of the federal republic by not inaugurating the winner of the February 25, 2023 election as president.
Also speaking at the event, the Deputy Chairman of the APC support groups in the South West, Prince Johnson Adepoju Ademola, said the support groups came out enmasse to show everyone that APC Supporters in the South West are not ready to settle for anything less other than the inauguration of the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on May 29, 2023.
Adding his voice to the call for the President not to listen to dissenting voices that are urging him to disregard the outcome of the February 25, 2023 election and inaugurate an Interim National Government, the State Coordinator of the group, Dr. Erinola Abayomuyiwa Eric, said the mammoth crowd of support groups that showed up for the solidarity walk is a clear indication that the presidential election was not rigged but that the people freely gave the winner of the election their votes. Dr. Abayomuyiwa said the people of the South West are happy and satisfied with the results of the election and look forward to seeing Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu inaugurated as President of Nigeria come May 29, 2023.
