APC UK chapter Canvass for Credible Primary

United Kingdom Wing of APC (Ondo State) of the All Progressive Congress has strongly advocated for a credible gubernatorial primary election within the party ahead of November 2016 election.

This strong warning is contained in a released issued and signed by the Deputy Chairman APC UK / Chairman of APC UK Ondo State, Mr. Tunde Doherty who specifically stated that it is only credible primary that can help the party in picking the best candidate. Arising from a stakeholders meeting of the APC UK Ondo State The Vice Chairman Mr Ayo Adigun in support of the outcome said, “It has become imperative for APC to win November governorship election in Ondo State so that we can move our dear state to the Promised Land”. He also added that “The gubernatorial primary election must be absolutely transparent and credibly acceptable by all standard, the governorship candidate for APC must be a person who has the ability to imagine how Ondo state can be developed in the future and develop a strategic implementation plan suitable for the benefit of the citizens”.

He advised APC delegates and members to remain focused on the governorship candidate that is very optimistic about the future of Ondo State. “The governorship candidate must be able to focus on the unique strengths of individual and resolute for making a better tomorrow than today and remain hopeful”. He said delegates should reject the highest bidder if he/she is not trusted and credible. Mr Adigun revealed that the APC UK (Ondo State) has agreed to use all available resources and international connections to support a credible and a visionary individual who is capable of creating a positive and inspirational vision for the future of our state and who will convey that visions in an engaging manner that will attract our people. Mr Adigun advocated for the type of governor the people of Ondo State wanted now as “a governorship candidate that can thrive on innovation, change and encourage creative thinking and problem-solving skills in government. He must be an individual that embraces change, views the use of new ideas and processes as progress”.
