APC USA Chapter rallies support for Gov Oyetola

 

 

Leaders and members of APC in the United States have congratulated Gov Gboyega Oyetola for his victory at the just concluded APC governorship primaries. In a statement issued in New York, signed by Professor Adesegun Labinjo, the chairman, Professor Francis Onukwuli, the Publicity Secretary and Judge Dele Alade, the APC-USA BOT Chairman, the Chapter called on the challengers, Mr. Adeoti and Mr. Lasun, to immediately join their forces with Gov Oyetola for a resounding victory in the coming governorship election.

 

 

 

 

 

APC-USA applauds the peaceful conduct of the primary election and commends the party for allowing the aspirants to test their popularity amongst the party members in a free and fair election. The Chapter said that since a winner has now emerged from the primaries, it is now time for unity in the party in Osun State so that the APC can face the PDP with a united force.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

APC-USA commends Gov Oyetola for his humility and strong leadership in Osun and urged him to continue to reach out to the aggrieved members and secure their support for the party. APC-USA also commends the leaderships of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande, Otunba Jumoke Ogunkeyede (JMK), and other APC leaders in Osun and thank them for their support for Gov Oyetola.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

APC-USA pledged its support for Gov Oyetola in the coming governorship election. “As we had supported Gov Bisi Akande and Gov Rauf Aregbesola in the past, we will continue to support APC in Osun State and our governorship flag-bearer, Gov Oyetola”, the statement reads. “APC-USA thankfully acknowledged Professor Andrew Ifemidayo Akinmoladun, a member of APC-USA, for his outstanding support for Gov Oyetola. APC-USA will deploy its resources to help and support Gov Oyetola before, during and after the coming governorship election. Our efforts will be coordinated by Professor Akinmoladun and another APC-USA member, Mr. Olufemi Akosile, to help coast the governor to a resounding victory in the election”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

APC-USA restated its call for a constitutional roles for APC-USA in the party’s constitution. “On the February 26, 2022 APC National Convention and the proposed constitution of APC, APC-USA restates its call for the National Convention to give specific constitutional roles to APC-USA just like the roles given to the Polling Units, the Ward, the Local Government, the State and the National levels of the party”. The Chapter states that’s a Diaspora Chapter like the USA Chapter and its members, should be able to vote and be voted for at the National Convention and that a member of APC-USA who wishes to run for any elective position should be able to do so based solely on his/her membership of APC-USA and does not have to necessarily register in his/her ward in Nigeria. “USA being the model of democracy, APC-USA should have a slot in the NEC of the party and in any zoning formula adopted by the party in distribution of party and government positions”, the statement reads.

APC-USA appreciates the services of the Buni-led Extraordinary National Caretaker Committee but urged them and the National Convention to consider the expansion of the NEC and the National Convention of the party to include the Diaspora Chapters especially the APC-USA.
