APC-USA Congratulates Adamu, Omisore & Others

The All Progressives Congress United States Chapter has congratulated Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Senator Omisore for emerging as the National Chairman of APC and the National Secretary respectively. In a statement signed by Professor Adesegun Labinjo, the Chairman, and Professor Francis Onukwuli, the Publicity Secretary, the APC-USA Chapter expressed its confidence in the ability and the capacity of Senator Adamu to lead the party. The Chapter said that Senator Adamu has everything that would take to further unite the party, move the party forward and lead the party to victory in the coming elections.

APC-USA expressed satisfaction with the consensus process that produced most of the officers of the party including Senator Adamu and Senator Omisore. The Chapter acknowledged the peaceful conduct of the convention and commended the aspirants to the various party offices that conceded for sacrificing their individual ambitions and aspirations for the collective interest of the party. The APC-USA Chapter said that it was the same spirit of sacrifice that the party’s founding fathers had that gave birth to APC and the main reason for the 2015 victory. The Chapter said that the party is again on the right path and on course to winning the 2023 presidential election.

APC-USA called on the leadership and the entire members of APC to take advantage of the momentum that the party gained from the convention and carry it to the various party primaries that are ahead of the party especially the presidential primary. APC-USA advised the party to work hard to produce a consensus presidential candidate to avoid the usual acrimony that often result from a contested primary. APC-USA pledged its support for Senator Adamu, Senator Omisore and other members of their executives, and promised to help the party in whatever areas of need.

APC•USA condemned the continuing terrorist attacks and the killing of innocent Nigerians across the country. The chapter called on the governments at all levels to do more to protect the lives and properties of the citizens. APC-USA expressed its readiness to help the country’s military and other security agencies with technological equipment to detect, fight, capture and kill the terrorists.

In a related development, the APC-USA BOT Chairman, Judge Dele Alade has called on APC leaders in Nigeria to support APC Diaspora members seeking various elective positions in Nigeria. Addressing a send-off event for Professor Andrew Akinmoladun, an APC aspirant for Obokun/Oriade Federal constituency in Osun State, Judge Alade said that Diaspora APC members have a lot to contribute to the development of the country. He said that the APC-USA has credible and visionary members that are prepared to effect changes in governance in Nigeria and set the country on the path of greatness and development. Judge Alade described Prof Akinmoladun as one of the best brains we have in USA and that Prof Akinmoladun fully understands the roadmap to Nigeria greatness, and that the professor will serve the people of Osun well. Judge Alade also called for unity in Osun State APC and urged the people of Osun to support and vote for Gov Oyetola in the next election.

Signed:

Professor Francis Onukwuli
