APC-USA Congratulates Opeyemi Bamidele & Others

APC-USA: The All Progressives Congress United States Chapter congratulated Senator Opeyemi Bamidele on his consensus election as the Senate Majority Leader. In a statement signed by Dr. Ismaila Maigyara, the National Publicity Secretary, and Professor Adesegun Labinjo, the National Chairman, the APC-USA Chapter at Washington DC, said that its members were happy that just like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Chief of Staff, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele was also one of them in the United States before relocating to Nigeria. APC-USA Chapter expressed its confidence that Senator Bamidele will perform very well as the Senate Leader and that he will lead his colleagues to pass legislations that will allow for rapid development of the country.

The APC-USA Chapter said that Senator Bamidele is best suited for the job having worked closely with President Tinubu in the past and having had the experience and pedigree as a brilliant lawyer and as a progressive politician. The Chapter stated that Senator Bamidele has the unique experience and exposure to how legislative arm of government should function in a democracy having had first hand knowledge while he lived and practiced law in the United States for many years.

APC-USA described Senator Bamidele as a friend of the chapter and as one of their own. The Chapter particularly quoted Judge Dele Alade, the APC-USA BOT/NAC Chairman, who described Senator Bamidele as a friend and a colleague that both of them attended University of Ife and both are practicing attorneys admitted in Nigeria and in the State of New York, United States.

APC-USA said that Senator Bamidele has already distinguished himself as one of the best lawmakers in the country and that the majority leader will add greater value to the senate and will robustly help and make the job of the Senate President, Senator Akpabio easier. APC-USA believed that the election of Senator Bamidele will lead to a senate that will deliver the dividends of democracy to the Nigerian people and the necessary legislations that will make their lives better.

APC-USA also congratulated Senator Ali Ndume, the Senate Chief Whip and other elected National Assembly leaders. The Chapter called for unity in the structures of APC at all levels, and urged Nigerians to support President Tinubu and the National Assembly leadership to enable them focus on working for the best interest of the country and the welfare of the Nigerian people.

APC USA promised to make available the expertise and talents of its members to assist the National Assembly and the Tinubu administration in any way possible to ensure a high quality delivery of service to the people, and help them to accelerate their developmental agenda for Nigeria.

Signed:

Dr. Ismaila Maigyara

Professor Adesegun Labinjo
