Armed Robbers Kill Abuja Based Comedian, Phunny Lips
Suspected armed robbers have stabbed Abuja based comedian, Okpayi Jose’s Prince, aka Phunny Lips to death
He was killed on Sunday, October 10, 2022 while engaging in Bolt driving, one of his support businesses.
Armed robbers who posed as passengers had booked his ride and in the process stabbed him, before he bled to death.
The President, Abuja Body Of Comedians ABC, Onome Da Saint who announced this development on Monday described the incident as unpleasant.
While calling for prayers for the soul of the late entertainer, he said the body of comedians in Abuja will do all it can to ensure the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators of the dastardly act.
“Indeed the inevitable has happened to one of us. God has called to rest Okpayi Jose’s Prince (aka Phunny Lips).
“The unpleasant departure happened yesterday (Sunday) 9th October, 2022 while he was doing one of his support business (Bolt Driver).
“He was stabbed by supposed passenger and bled to death. It’s so hurting and we pray that God will intervene to see to the arrest of the perpetrator of this dastardly act” the ABC president’s release read in part.
He therefore called on the Commissioner of Police in the FCT, the DSS, NSCDC and relevant security agencies to ensure prompt arrest of the comedian’s killers.
