ASARI DOKUBO– As former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike gains prominence in speculations over likely ministerial appointees to form President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, an ex-Niger Delta militant, has come out to claim that the former Rivers Governor, Rotimi Amaechi is silently fighting over Rivers’ ministerial slot.
According to Asari Dokubo, Nyesom Wike will get Rivers’ ministerial slot because he earned it more than any APC member in the State. He, therefore, claimed that Rotimi Amaechi never supported President Tinubu during the elections. Hence, he should stop looking at where he did not sow.
According to Asari Dokubo from the video (52:28): “I have read so many things about people (APC members) against Nyesom Wike’s nomination as Minister. Let the truth be told, APC members in Rivers State under Rotimi Amaechi did not support Ahmed Bola Tinubu. Quote me anywhere because they never voted for him neither did they work for him. Majority of the people Nyesom Wike instructed in PDP did not work for Tinubu as well.
“You are fighting the President and you want him to appoint you as a Minister? Never! Rotimi Amaechi, in your place, Nyesom Wike defeated you. Why are you looking at where you did not sow? Whether we like Nyesom Wike or not, he staked everything to give Bola Ahmed Tinubu the Presidency. And for that, he deserves to reap what he sowed”.
Alhaji Asari Dokubo disclosed this in a live-streamed video on Facebook a few hours ago.
