Birthing Purpose empowers entrepreneurs with ‘The Business Of Purpose’ series
Birthing Purpose, a social enterprise has in its own unique
way empowered entrepreneurs through its pioneer entrepreneurship series called ‘The
Business Of Purpose’.
The event which took place on Saturday, 25th Of
May, 2019 in Lagos had several captains of Industries in attendance, making the
event one which hasn’t happened in a very long while.
The first series was themed ‘Building Purpose In Life and
Enterprise’ and this connotes that one of the aim of ‘Birthing Purpose’ with
this series is to ensure that all entrepreneur have a workable purpose for their
businesses.
In most cases, people go into business for the sole aim of earning a living whereas there is more they can offer the world with their businesses if only they can visualize it and apply the right strategies.
The Business of Purpose series serve as a platform for
personal capacity development and empowerment of young entrepreneurs to create
and transform their existing businesses to purpose driven (social) enterprises
that are profitable and positively impact their local communities
The Business for
Purpose Series also offers an opportunity for learning from experts, networking
with SME support entities including government bodies, financial institutions,
accelerators, incubators as well as acquaintance with real, after-the-event
facilitating programs geared towards advancing and reinforcing required skills
for successfully operating sustainable for-profit enterprises.
Also,The event offers an extensive and holistic experience
which aims to highlight the benefits of operating a purpose driven business
instead of the usual run-of-the-mill traditional enterprise.
The event had respected speakers like The Publisher of City People Magazine Dr Seye Kehinde, CEO of Luminaries Pre-school , Tessy Zidon Peters, MD of Bakers world ,Adetola Okanlawon (MBA-IT),Co-Founder Of Ecoprune Africa , Olawunmi Ogunde, who motivated the audience with life experiences on creating a business with a purpose.
CEO of Birthing Purpose Tobi Odukoya had earlier said Most
world changing innovations that have become multi-billion dollar products and
services stemmed from wanting to solve a problem, and creating a solution that
meets that specific need; that way many lives are touched by that single product
or service
