Bishop Tom Samson’s Royal City College Of Education Matriculates 2017/2018 NCE/PGDE Students

It was a season of fulfilment for Bishop Tom Samson on Thursday July 5, 2018  when the Academics Session of his Federal Government Approved Royal City College of Education, Iyesi Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria, begun with over 75 students matriculated into its NCE/PGDE programs.
The well planned Matriculation program was attended by dignitaries in the Educational Sector, Traditional Rulers, top security personnel in the State and Religion Leaders among others.
While administering the matriculation Oath before accepting the new student, the Provost of the Institution Dr. Aderemi Ogunfuwa, ( NCE, B.ED, M.ED, PHD )re-emphasized the mission statement of the institution which he said, the school was mainly established with the primary objective of promoting teacher education and to inculcate the trait of self-reliance on their students in other to stand the test of time through traditional and modern teaching techniques training that conform with the world educational advancement.
Dr. Aderemi stated further that Royal City College of Education is now been recognized across the country as the school admission Requirements has been accepted by JAMB, he challenged the new student to make good use of the opportunity the school will provides, Saying though the school might enforces strict academic principle on them but they should remember that it  is for the benefit of them all, he also explained that Royal City College of Education Ogun State is now been affiliated to Ekiti State University putting to rest the fear of non accreditations of all its courses.
In his address, the President/Visioner, Royal City College of Education, Ota Ogun State Bishop Dr. Tom  Samson, welcomed the new students to the school. He said his vision is to train and produce intellectually inclined teachers with God ethical value and virtue which will metamorphose into the future prospect of teaching profession through demonstration of the right attitude to work and training of mind to enable the society accord positive impetus to the noble profession of teaching.
He said being  a teacher himself, it is his priority to give back to the society that made it possible for him, hence he decided to established the school to trained credible teachers.
He said he will be happy if all the new students can make good use of the opportunity he is giving them, because a teacher can never be jobless.
Highlight of the event was the oath taken by the entire new students, followed by the acceptance speech by the representative of the students.
They promise to be law abiding, disciplined and shun cultism and other social vices.
There was also Cultural display and drama presentation by the students of  Royal City College.
