Cameroon kills 100 Boko Haram members, frees 900 hostages in “special clean-up operation”

 

100 Boko Haram members were recently killed in a  by Cameroon’s security force last week.

A statement by the Cameroonian Defence Minister Joseph Beti Assomo released today, says the special clean up operation took place along Cameroonian towns that were on the border with Nigeria from 26 to 28 November.

The statement added that the troops during the operations, released almost 900 hostages, seize a large stock of arms and munitions as well as black-and-white Islamic State flags”. The statement did not however reveal the identities of those freed.
