‘I’m scared, I might not be able to repay the loan i took to shoot my new movie” – Veteran Actor, Kunle Afolayan laments

    a

Veteran Nollywood actor/Producer, Kunle Afolayan is currently feeling the bite of recession and pirates are not even helping matters. He produced a high quality movie which was premiered in Nigeria some week ago, it’s titled ‘The CEO’. It’s one movie that a lot of people really commended, he featured legend actors, including Nigerians, Foreigners, within Africa and Outside Africa and before that movie could be put together, a lot of millions must have been spent, which is true but it’s so unfortunate that the Legend Producer has managed to get little of what he invested. In an interview, He disclosed some things that are really painful to the heart.

In his words ‘’  “It costs a fortune; we are talking hundreds of millions of naira. We haven’t recouped the money and am not sure I will recoup that money ‘cos now the economy is bad and I have said this several times and there is really no point saying it again; but part of the funding for CEO, we got from Bank OF Industry (BOI) and that money needs to be paid back, I think I even have about maybe eight months left to pay back and it’s a bit scary, because I don’t know how I am going to pay it. But I want to believe that somehow, it will get paid. A lot of Nigerians complain about good quality. For you to have good quality it comes with a price and the price is money. Some days ago, Desmond and I were joking and I said to him that I paid the director of my photograph for CEO this amount, and he said to me, Kunle; you paid that amount? That is the budget for a whole film now. So you see, really, sometimes; I think it’s better to play small. But for some of us, who have already made name, you can’t come down and play lower. If you are going to come down on your budget or that, you have to make sure the production value is not compromised or that that thing you are known for is not compromised. But CEO is still doing very well, we are doing the London premiere in October, and it’s going to be in London’’

He said, “As leaders we must strive to be the light of the world, we must resist to talk about our current socioeconomic situation with despondency.

“As for me, I have complete faith that Nigeria will emerge from this crisis strong, united, prosperous and secured.

Military Rejected Former President Goodluck Jonathan Over $2.2bn Arms Claim | Read Shocking Detail

    jonathan-2

Military sources have rejected former President Goodluck Jonathan’s claim that his administration bought warships and aircraft from the $2.2bn allegedly looted to the NSA’s office.

Jonathan, who spoke at a lecture he delivered on “Youth Entrepreneurship” at the Oxford Union in the United Kingdom, tried to exonerate former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki of corruption allegations involving $2.2billion voted for arms procurement.

Jonathan had said: “I don’t believe somebody can just steal $2.2 billion; we bought warships, we bought aircraft, we bought lots of weapons for the army and so on and so forth and you are still saying 2.2billion, so where did we get the money to buy all those things?

But independent checks by The Nation revealed that the former President might have been deceived by his officials on the type of weapons that were bought for the military.

According to several military sources who asked to remain anonymous because of the “sensitivity” of the matter, many of the weapons bought under Jonathan were “unserviceable and useless”.

One said the Jonathan administration bought at least three fairly used (Tokunbo) Alpha Jets for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and two helicopters. But the jets were, the sources claimed, “not worth anything because they were not weaponised and the helicopters were cannibalized

NAF recently reconfigured 2 demilitarised Alpha jets. According to the NAF website, the jets were bought from the United States in 2015 to help in the fight against Boko Haram.

“The 2 aircraft are among the 4 Alpha Jets bought from the United States in 2015 by the immediate past administration to enhance the operational capability of the NAF to combat Boko Haram in the Northeast.

“The aircraft, however, before now, could not be deployed in the theatre of operation due to the inherent weapon delivery deficiency, hence its limited use for training purposes. The urgent need in recent times to commit all NAF available platforms to OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE to enhance the success of the counter insurgency operation necessitated the Service to look inward to seek ways of achieving its drive for self reliance through research and development.

“A number of vendors invited to Nigeria to assess the platforms had concluded that it would be difûcult or almost impossible to undertake the project since the Original Equipment Manufacturer had long closed down the production line. A few others who agreed to the possibility of having the aircraft reconfigured to carry munitions have also submitted proposals for initial assessment fee ranging from $20,000 – $30,000 before they could come up with the actual cost for the project. Convinced that the project would work, the NAF consequently assembled a team of technicians to develop a feasible model for the project. The model worked on ground, and has since been mounted on the Alpha Jets, and test fown successfully. This feat is a major research and development breakthrough for the NAF and the nation as a huge foreign exchange saver, given that the project only cost about N4,000,000.00 compared to what would be required to have it done abroad,” NAF said.

However, the former President may have been referring to the purchase of six decommissioned Norwegian battleships, bought purportedly on behalf of the Navy by former Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo

They got defensive and said the policemen would not be allowed to take any of our injured members to the hospital. “Eventually, they were able to rescue the Fulanis and took them to a medical centre at Ashaka at about 7:30 in the night, from where I took them to Federal Medical Centre in Asaba,” he explained. Usman, who is also an aide to the governor on non-indigenes, said he told the Fulanis to vacate the area pending their meeting with Osisa community leaders Wednesday. However on Monday, the people of Osisa launched what looked like a planned attack on Fulanis across the community. “As I speak, some are in serious conditions, while cattle are missing. I told our members not to react but leave Osisa. I quickly called police deputy commissioner (operations) and the area commander. “They have sent police teams to Osisa to look for the cattle. That is the situation at the moment. We are appealing for calm as we hope to douse the tension events of the last few days has caused.” When contacted, the acting police spokesman, Andrew Animaka, dismissed the claims that there was no reprisal attack in Osisa. He said aside the alleged impunity by Fulani herdsmen and protest by a few women from the community, the place is calm and quiet. Former Special Adviser on Media to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reuben Abati, has allegedly confessed to collecting N500million from former National Security Adviser, Col Sambo Dasuki

Abati was picked up by EFCC personnel on Monday, October 24, 2016 and has been kept indefinitely by the anti-graft agency pending the conclusion of interrogations.

The former Presidency spokesperson has been accused of receiving the sum of N500million from erstwhile National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.

Miss Anambra 2015, Chidinma Okeke risks 14-Years Prison term as Organizers dethrone her over Leaked lesbian video

    chidinma-dethroned

Anambra beauty queen, Chidinma Okeke has for some days faced serious social media humiliation over her lesbian video leaked online. She had earlier debunked it and described it as works of her enemies until the second video came up, which really showed her face.

Due to this, it has been gathered that she has been dethroned and the organizer have distance themselves from the embattled queen, according to the leakers of the video

“First let me point out something, I have no problem with Chidinma, she is base in Anambra and am base in abuja so no connection, but first I am doing my job by blogging such material, she should just apologise to the public for the lies and she should expose the blackmailer who she has been paying money too, which all her friends has been talking about, she didn’t hand over her crown , she was dethroned before all this mess started coming up meaning that the organizers knew about all this so is better she expose who has been taking money from her cause I wonder why the other 2 girls in the video are not part of the discussion trending.

Anyway since she is dragging the name of God into this I went back to my mails and search and the part 2 pix pop out so I have decided to let u all who say is Photoshop know that it was never a Photoshop’’

However, if the Government officials should wade in into this matter, the beauty queen might be jailed for 14-years according to the law of Nigeria.
