Comedian Tiblaze sets the streets ablaze with ‘Fire of Lafta’

 

 

Omughele Stephen AKA Tiblaze is an upcoming comedian whose passion for comedy can’t be described in words.  In a chat with Sahara weekly, he talked on how the journey has been so far and about his event which will be coming up on the 29th of November tagged ‘ Fire of Lafta’

Can you tell us about yourself?
My name is Omughele Stephen a.k.a Tiblaze from delta state Nigeria.  I’m a comedian, compere , OAP and a Project Engineer
Tell us about the upcoming event.

The event is tagged “Fire of Lafta with Tiblaze’’.
Fire of Lafta is a Comedy Show mixed with music and fashion(triple event). It is an event poised at unifying people of various works of life with regards to the work life balance proposition to enhance wellness and sound health, via entertainment.

The event will be coming up on the 29th of November 2015 at Unity Event Centre, 28, Issac John Street, Ikeja. The event will feature top comedians such as GORDONS, KOFFI, PENCIL, etc…

The event is packed with interesting activities to make the evening a splendid one for all attendees.

Comedians would take the congregation on a comedic ride till their ribs crack (not literally).

 

      MUSIC

 

There would also be musical performances from different artistes, and also from a wonderful DJ.

Fashion
This is an interesting part of the show that’ll catch the attention of the congregation. Here models would showcase different clothing lines from different designers.

 

How did the dream start?
It started back then in school, my friends do call me warri boy, whenever we are in class I always make them laugh then from there my room mate Victor Ubom Victor introduced me to his friend Saka Abdulkadir who happens to be the secretary of Rotaract club. So Saka invited me to perform in one of their fellowship(meeting), after the first performance the president of the club Kabiru Usman started inviting me to feature in every of their major gathering. The first time I performed on a stage was at Rotaract dinner 2010, after that night the journey started.
What’s so unique about your comedy?
I tailor my material (jokes) to the nature of the event, I don’t just crack jokes but I made jokes out of the current happenings at the event. Something people can easily relate with
What are the challenges?
Sponsorship and platform to explore more.
Who are we to expect?
Gordons, Koffi, Pencil, OminiAho, Stylo, Josh2funny, Seyi Ajayi, Koresax(NGT), Timiblaze and host of others
What’s your unique selling point as a comedian?
Like a design will give his/her client base on the nature of the outing. Same way I do my jokes base on the settings of the event. ( A La Carte)

How will u describe the experience?.
I see it as an opportunity to build up my faith and increase capacity
