Consumers Embrace GUD Filters in Nigeria

Nigerian consumers have embraced GUD Filters, South Africa’s premium automotive filter brand. The company manufactures a full range of filters for local and international markets.

The GUD filter brand has become an icon in the South African automotive industry for its commitment to quality, service and product innovation, placing the company at the forefront of automotive filtration.

On 8 September, 2016 AutoZone presented GUD with the Supplier of the Year Award for the fourth consecutive year. This incredible achievement acknowledges the company’s premium quality products and outstanding service delivery over many decades.

The AutoZone Supplier Awards aims to acknowledge suppliers that meet their strict performance criteria, BBBEE rating level, EDI, unit sales growth, availability and customer service among others.  GUD Holdings supply Autozone with leading automotive brands like Filters, Indy Oil and Safeline Brake Pads.

GUD Filters had been South Africa’s leading automotive filter brand since its first filter was produced in Durban in 1949. As the automotive industry evolved, so the Company expanded over time to become the market leader across the continent.

The company has extended its success across international boundaries and currently exports to five continents, placing great emphasis on quality to exceed the requirements of all its market.

A representative of GUD in Nigeria, Mr Jooda Jimoh, said “the acceptance and testimonies on our products in Nigeria have been quite impressive. We have definitely raised the bar in terms of giving value for money, and we are not relenting on our oars to do more.”

In the words of Seun Olaoye, a Lagos-based consumer, “I was first reluctant to give GUD filter a try the first time it was introduced to me, but honestly, it hasn’t just given my car a fresh breath; it has reduced the money I hitherto spent servicing my car.”
