Business mogul, Fola Onifade has opened up on his plans for his constituency if elected Into Ogun State House of Assembly , Ifo 1:
Dear compatriots! It is not enough to come before you for your support and votes. I must also be able to convince you that I deserve that which I seek from you support.
That is why I am front loading my manifesto upon which you will judge me after my stewardship in 2023. I will set them out in outlines; and, as we go around seeking your support, we will explain them better while also counting on your inputs and modifications.
Although there was a great argument as to whether we should list out our programs or not; so that others will not copy them. But it will be to the benefit of the people if our ideas are copied and positively applied for the benefit of mankind.
Constituency Projects
1. Free bus Transit for both students and residents as contained our 2011 manifesto.
2. Market men and women revolving loan to be managed by the leadership of the markets within Ifo Constituency 1.
3. Worship areas intervention funds to ease petty expenses of major worship centers within Ifo Constituency 1.
4. Installation of 1 borehole per month within the constituency giving a target of 50 boreholes within the term.
5. Establishment of one Resource Centre each in Ifo LG and Coker/Ibogun LCDA with a mandate to creat opportunities for our people in terms of business connections and exposures.
6. Establishment of an Educational corps within the constituency. This program will provide free summer tutorials to WASC student preparing for school certificate examination by experienced teachers within the constituency and free study kits to the students.
7. Annual sponsorship of at least 20 people to the Community training institute to be nominated and managed by the Area CDCs.
LEGISLATIVE
1. Sponsorship of a bill that will establish THE OGUN STATE ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT FUND ACT. The law will establish a fund of not less than 5% of the annual state budget to fund small business startup while at the same time attract over 1,000,000 resident in State tax net.
2. Sponsorship of a bill that will establish THE OGUN STATE MILLIONAIRE FARMERS ACT. The law will establish a community of well motivated farmers as a springboard for the State’s agricultural revolution.
3. Sponsor a bill that will establish THE IBOGUN INDUSTRIAL ZONE ACT. The law will convert the Ibogun forest reserve into an industrial zone. We have always complained about the lack of industries in Ifo; the reason is that there is no industrial zone in Ifo like neighboring local governments like Otta or Ewekoro. The solution is to convert the fallow forest reserve into an industrial zone that will rival the Agbara industrial zone. The beauty of this is that the proposed location is just about 30 minutes from Ifo to Atan junction via Ibogun or Coker.
Above all, I assure you of rotational monthly meetings to be organized by the CDCs and the CDAs with our Monarchs and Baale in attendance. This will keep us abreast of the impact of our ideas and the areas where we need to improve upon.
