CULMINATION OF EVENTS –FACES BEHIND THEIR COVERAGE

It was a high point on Friday April 20, as two remarkable events were covered back to back.
First was the Rebrand and Insurance Policy outing organised by the Actors Guild of Nigeria and her Government of National Unity, under the leadership of Evangelist Emeka Rollas Ejezie.
The new president and his excos, unveiled what would be the new road map for Africa’s biggest film industry –Nollywood.
The move is expected to position this creative hub as not only a formidable economic engine, but one where talents are continually harnessed under a cordial working relationship.
Also, the same date was slated for the Baobabs Awards, an award that celebrates individuals and their their successes in creativity. The date uniquely turned out to be the birthday of founder of both My Beautiful Africa and Brandworld, Clara Okoro.
Clara was honored with an award on Creativity in Media. The event was created by the Hungarian based Nigerian business tycoon, chief Omotunde Komolafe.
Both events which took place at the Sharaton Hotels in Ikeja, and Freedom Park in Lagos Island, respectively, were successful. CMC media crew, and her boss, Cornell Udofia, were on ground to cover the occasions.
Cornell is also the adviser to the president of the AGN on new media.
From the stable of CMC, here’s saying a big congrats to members of Nollywood as they chart a new course for the advancement of film making in Nigeria and Africa, and also to Clara Okoro for the double honor of an award on her birthday.
