DAPO ABIODUN ASSURES OF AN ALL-INCLUSIVE GOVT

Ogun state governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun has assured the traditional institution of a listening ear if elected in next year’s election.
The APC candidate gave this assurance during a Courtesy Visit to the Yewa Traditional Council led by Olu of Ilaro and Paramount ruler of Yewa land, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle in his Palace.

Prince Abiodun who promised to strengthen the local government institutions vowed to give due respect to the traditional institution.

He noted that, being a Prince, he understood the significance of the Obas and would always consult them in policy formulation of his government.

He assured that the three senatorial districts of the state shall be evenly developed with improved infrastructural facilities while no part of the state would be marginalized at the detriment of others.

Dr Abiodun maintained that security of lives and properties remains a priority in his mission to take Ogun state to the next level. The Oil magnate explained that his government would formulate friendly policies and create conducive atmosphere that would enable businesses to thrive and attract more local and foreign investors into the state.

In their response, the traditional rulers appreciated Prince Dapo Abiodun for his visit and encouraged him to go ahead in his pursuit as all indications have shown that God is with him on his gubernatorial ambition. The monarchs across all the five local governments of Yewa/Awori were called to bless his candidature and they gladly did with enthusiasm.

Responding on behalf of other Obas present at the event, the Paramount ruler of Yewa land, Oba Olugbenle assured him of the support of the traditional institution, and also called on him to live by his words when elected.

The event which was colourful had his supporters and residents of Yewa trooped out enmasse to welcome the man of the moment.

Other people on the entourage included the Director-General of Dapo Abiodun campaign council who is also a former deputy governor in the state, Prince Segun Adesegun, former commissioners in the state including Chief Olu Agemo, Chief Ayedogbon, former members of the National Assembly including Chief Bode Mustapha, Honourable Abiodun Akinlade, Immediate past Chief of staff to governor Amosun and Ogun west Senatorial candidate of the APC, Chief Tolu Odebiyi, and twenty serving members of the state House of Assembly.
