… assures Olokola deep Seaport will become reality

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC,Prince Dapo Abiodun has debunked speculations in some quarters that he retrieved the transformer and other facilities he donated to some communities, after loosing his senatorial ambition in 2015.

Prince Abiodun stated this while fielding questions from Newsmen in Ibiade-Abigi, in continuation of his ward to ward campaign tour of Ogun WaterSide Local Government area of the side.

He explained that he was in the local government to bring them out of darkness by donating transformers and electricity materials to communities in the area when he was contesting for Ogun East Senatorial seat.

He recalled that he promised them that their communities would be illuminated before the then national assembly elections, a pledge he redeemed.

The APC Candidate lamented that when he lost the election, some mischievous elements begun to spread falsehood that I came to carry transformers earlier donated.

“I did not carry transformer, poles and electrical cables in waterside local government after my elections”.he submitted.

The business mogul assured that the Olokola free trade zone in the area will become a reality upon emergence as state governor.

The gubernatorial candidate promised a business-friendly administration pledging to step up the economic advantage of Ogun state residents.

He said the Olokola deap Seaport would be given a special priority because of the youths and job seekers in the state.

He pointed out that the Olokola free trade zone has one of the deepest seaports, hence the need to tap its economic values.

“The place has the deepest sea port but unfortunately that opportunity has not been invested in this area” He said.

“Also, I will ensure that we resuscitate Iwopin paper mills that has not been existing over the years. I will bring investors to Ogun state both local and private investors. I know how to do that because i came from private sector and as a private person i will develop Ogun state to attract more investors”. he concluded.

Earlier, the traditional council of the local government declares total support for the candidature of Prince Dapo Abiodun assuring him of bloc votes from their domain during the governorship election slated for Saturday March 9th, 2019.

Having cleared the air, some people within the State piled pressure on me but I wasn’t deterred because I have said the truth.

Hence, I want to assure the incoming governor of Ogun State on behalf of other traditional rulers that Ogun Waterside is your home and we will show that through our bloc votes for you during the poll, he concluded ‘
