David Hundeyin Claims Sheikh Gumi Is Part Of An International Terrorist Network
Nigerian Investigative Journalist David Hundeyin has alleged that Muslim Cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi is part of an international terrorist network .
Naija News NG reports that Hundeyin was reacting to a report by Sahara Reporter on how DSS told the court that Gumi’s aide, Mamur Tukur is part of an international terrorist network.
The report reads in part : The Department of State Services (DSS) has told a Federal High Court, Abuja, that the detained terrorists’ negotiator, Tukur Mamu is part of an international terrorist network using the cover of journalism to commit crime.
According to ThisDay, the DSS’ allegation forms part of an affidavit presented before a Federal High Court, Abuja, to secure the court’s permission to keep Mamu in custody, pending the conclusion of its investigation.
SaharaReporters had reported how Mamu was arrested at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport after he was repatriated from Egypt where he had been detained while on his way to Saudi Arabia.
Reacting, David Hundeyin wrote :
“I hate to say I told you so but…nah who am I kidding? I LOVE saying I told you so.
Gumi himself is part of the same network, as is his good friend Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir.
But I’m sure the DSS already knows that in far greater detail than I do, so…”
