Lion Comr. Akadri Babatunde Adeleke -Sayleke, the newly installed 18th club President of Ikorodu Diamond Lions club, district 404A1 Nigeria, has advised youths not to be use as element of destruction.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Babatunde said this at the public presentation of the new president and his leadership team, directors, and cabinet members for the Lions Service Year 2022/2023.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The event which was held at Oluwatoyin Lion Activities Centre (OLAC),Owode Ibeshe, Lagos state was organized to raise funds for the club’s projects.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He advised that youths should vote wisely for their choices during the fourth coming elections and not to be use as elements of destruction.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The New President, added that he has started to build on the good works of his predecessors and will ensure that the club’s purpose and core areas of ethics will be touched during his tenure.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Some of the projects he said is to have a library, hall, lecture room for adults and admin offices.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“The world is becoming global, our club is over 100years, so we need to generate news ideas, the excos have agreed with my new ideas.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Thank God with the support of individuals, plots of lands have been donated for the projects, the work will commence and by his grace it will be commissioned.

“I urge everyone to continue the humanitarian services to our people”.

He advised everyone to believe in themselves for the best.

Chief Mrs Erelu Ogunnubi, the Chairman of the day, in her welcome speech commended the efforts of the club for the many lives it has been impacting positively.

According to her, I asked myself a question, if this organization didn’t exist or stop existing how would some people cope with the situation across the nation?.

She promised to monitor the projects until they are commissioned

“I will like everyone to be part of this project, all the youths will benefit from this great initiative with modern day facilities that will be made available.

” There is a need to assist the poor, take them off the streets especially the girl child.

“Let our mothers keep playing their roles towards the teaching of moral value of the girl child because we do not know the one that will impact the world positively.

The event had in attendance the district governor of the club, past presidents, and friends of the club.
