….A new GAPOSA in the making
As the Rector Gateway (ICT) Polytechnic Saapade Dr I.K. Oyeyinka bags second term on office, he had a familiarization meeting with members of staff where he thanked them for their cooperation over the years and assured them more benefits on his second tenure in office.
Part of his agenda For development during his second term in office includes :
– more sponsored National and International Trainings of exposure for members of staff.
– New structures to accommodate the teeming students population.
– Accreditation of New courses by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE ).
– More and better working conditions and job security. He however enjoined members of staff to be more disciplined.
– he called on members to join in building a better and cleaner Gaposa
According to the investigation by the Nigeria Guild of Investigative Journalists NGIJ report on the ongoing project in Gateway ICT Polytechnic Saapade, The rector has fulfilled all his promises in a bid to make the institution second to none in Nigeria with world class courses like Mobile App laboratory with equipped facilities to train the students on how to be self reliant after their studies.
Meanwhile, Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade according to research will be the only institution in Nigeria to offer Information Technology based courses with adequate resources to make the students compete with any institutions in the world.
The institution under the leadership of Dr Oyeyinka has worked on the affiliation of the institution with international institutions to ensure the students are world class standard.
Erection of conducive lecture theatre for students has been the priorities for the management of the institution.
The tuition is very affordable for new intakes irrespective of courses, the management had always been working in line with Ogun state ministry of education policies under the administration of Senator Ibikunle Amosun in making education affordable for the good people of Ogun State.
Besides, during our investigation on staff welfare, the staff commend the leadership of Dr Oyeyinka for making sure their salaries is paid at the first week of every month without any record of debt.
