Edo 2024: Alenkhe Debunks Running for governorship position

By Elvis Omoregie

The Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council Comrade Festus Alenkhe JP, has debunked the rumoured making around that he has thrown his heart into the ring of contesting the forth coming Edo governorship election slated for September 24th 2024.

In a statement signed by his humble self, said it has come to his notice that some yet to be identified persons have printed my poster purportedly in relation to the 2024 governorship election in Edo State.

Let it be known that I did not authorize any person to do that, neither do such have my blessing. I have also not at anytime discussed it with any person, known or unknown, consciously or unconsciously.

I am presently very much at home with the mandate of journalists in Edo State to serve as their chairman. I believe it is one thing after the other.

I therefore urge the general public to disregard the poster and its content in its entirety.
