Employee remanded in prison custody without an option of bail for molestation

A 29-year old woman, Adejugbe Yetunde, was arrested by Lagos state police command for allegedly molestation of children were she was employed.

The suspect was arrested after she molested a 4-year old girl by using her fingers to penetrate her private part and inflict injury .
The incident took place at the Covenant Teckno Kids Discovery Centre located at Akeem Oke Street in Igando area of Lagos.

The suspect was employed at the centre to take care of the children in the centre before she engaged in abusing the children to satisfied her sexual desire brought there but she however turned round and started using the kids to satisfy her sexual desire.

Our reporter gathered that the suspect was in the act for long with other children until when the boggle burst out that the victim she molested reported to her parents.

The case was immediately reported to the police she was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the State Police Command for investigation.

After investigation, the police found her culpable and charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for sexual assault.

The Court did not take Yetunde’s plea after the prosecutor, Inspector Benson Emerhi, told the court that the matter be referred to DPP,the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat, ordered her to be remanded in prison custody without an option of bail.

The court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file, send it to the DPP for advice and adjourned the matter till 11th April, 2019.
