A Lagos state-based Engineer, Adegboyega Banjo Panel, has been arrested by the Ministry of Youth & Social Development social welfare office Ajegunle and the Ajegunle police station for brutalizing his daughter.
The 8year old girl, name withheld, was allegedly brutalized by her father who turned to a medical doctor by examining the puberty age of the minor who started developing breast.
Global News learned that the victim was seriously injured with a hot stone and hot water massage, which he placed on her left breast to push it back.
It was learned that her father questioned the victim why she will start developing breasts at her age, he decided to use hot stone and water massage to stop the breast from growing.
Also, the alleged suspect’s family has been living in fear of continuous domestic violence to which he has subjected his wife and children.
Our correspondent gathered that it was by the intervention of a mandated reporter from its Advocates for Children and Vulnerable Persons Network (ACVPN) who link them the agencies that arrested him
Reacting to the incident, Mr. Ebenezer Omejalile the Coordinator of Advocates for Children and Vulnerable Persons Network ACVPN said that the suspect was wrong and have no right to conduct or check the puberty age of the child.
“This act is wrong for any father who behaves in such manner, children can start their puberty age early, it is the duty of mother’s to keep and monitor the children, he added
