FEDERAL ROAD SAFETY CORPS LAGOS SECTOR COMMAND

SECTOR COMMANDER LAGOS CAUTIONS MOTORISTS ON THE COMPLETED PORTION OF LAGOS-SEME INTERNATIONAL ROAD
The Sector Commander FRSC Lagos Sector Command Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide has commended the Federal Government and the Honorable Minister of Works and Housing Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola on the level and pace of work on the ongoing construction along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
He noted that the 1,048km road when completed will improve travelling time and driving experience along the international route corridor. ” The road will boost economic activities with neighbouring countries when completed ” he stated.
He made this statement as part of the entourage of the Honorable Minister who carried out an on-spot inspection of the ongoing project on Friday 17th June, 2022.
The Honorable Minister stressed that the early 2023 target for completion of the highway is depended on factors like weather, traffic management and cooperation of the communities. He called for patience and cooperation from members of the communities along the construction corridor.
Ogungbemide has further directed all Commands along the corridor to up their enforcement in protecting lives and property especially on the already completed portion of the road that is now proned to excessive speeding. He therefore urged motorists plying the corridor to drive with caution and prevent avoidable crashes.
