Reportedly, For Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, the storm over his bid to get the second term ticket of the All Progressives Congress is finally over as the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu has endorsed him.

It was reported  that the coast was cleared for Ambode in the early hours of Friday.

Former interim National Chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande and the Oba of Lagos were said to have played “pivotal roles” in the reconciliation. The immediate fall out of the endorsement was the reactivation of a campaign committee which Tinubu had set up for Ambode about six months ago.

The committee has as its Director General, Mr Akeem Sulaimon, the Special Adviser, Community and Communication to the Lagos State Governor. Another member of the team said to include top politicians is Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan, the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy.

When make it called Mr. Suleiman, he confirmed that he is heading Ambode’s campaign team. He was at a meeting on the project when make it spoke with him.

It was gathered that the office of the campaign team is somewhere in Ikeja.

The APC governorship  primaries are scheduled to hold nationwide on September 30
