Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun Facilitates Developmental Projects to Ancestral Home in Ogun

By Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji, Abeokuta

Despite controversy trailing her NYSC certificate, three embattled Finance Minister, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun has facilitated developmental projects to her country home, Ayila in Ogun Waterside local government area of Ogun State.

Ayila, is an agrarian town in Ogun Waterside, Ogun State, Nigeria, where the Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun hails from.

Mrs. Adeosun, who promised to provide social amenities to the community towards the 2015 general elections, ensured the construction of a block of five classrooms in Ayila as parts of the first phase projects in the educational sector.

Speaking with journalists on Wednesday in the town, the indigenes said the community was ecstatic with the provision of infrastructural developments to the community.

One of the community leaders who spoke with newsmen, Elder Felix Ajilotan explained that Ayila community had long been from the state government’s programmes, but their hope was rekindled with the intervention of the Finance Minister.

Elder Felix who cited the instances of a multi-million naira borehole project which ended the many years of water scarcity in the community as well as the construction of a block of five classrooms in Ayila town, all facilitated by the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, said the Buhari led federal government has proven to be an administration that truly takes developments to the grassroots.

According to him, the long years of pains suffered in crossing the waterways to Okebi has been by boats, but as soon as Adeosun became the Finance Minister, she has ensured the construction of a flyover  bridge on the water for easy passage.

The community leader further hinted that Ayila town was proud to have produced Adeosun as one of the serving members of the Buhari administration.

“From time immemorial, travelling to Okebi has been by boat, but as soon as Adeosun became the Finance Minister, she promised that the Buhari administration would build us a good bridge on the water and it was done. Everybody now goes to wherever he or she likes by road; we also relate with the neighbouring communities like Okebi easily through the road facilitated by the minister.

“From all of us here, I mean the entire people of Ayila, we are proud of the Minister, because we have begun feeling the relief from past years’ of difficulties resulted from lack of what I will referred to as social insecurity.

“Roads in Ayila are now motorable, we have stable source of water through the borehole she dug for us. There are additional classrooms facilitated by her. So, we believe Adeosun and the Buhari administration is doing well”.

Meanwhile, the indigenes of Ayila town have appealled to the Minister of Worls, Power and Infrastructure, Babatunde Fashola to rescue them from the 15 years of darkness which their community is passing through.

They therefore enjoined the Finance Minister to use her good office to facilitate the completion of the on-going Ayila-Ayede federal road rehabilitation which had for long been neglected by the previous administration in the country.
