Five Children Burnt Beyond Recognition in Lagos

The family of Ogundiya and Achomye in Abagbo Village, Takwa-Bay area of Lagos State metropolis lost five children to fire incident between the ages of 13year to 1year old.

The incident happened on the 7th August at about 18.30hours

This was disclosed by the command spoke person, DSP Bala Elkana,through a press statement that Takwa Bay police station recieved a distress call from one Florence Asoye, the mother of deceased children reported that she left home to Takwa-bay Jetty only to come back to see her one room apartment completely raised down by fire.

According to mother of five, she said that she left her children under the care of one Suliat who locked the children in the room and left to an unknown destination.

The children that burnt beyond recognition are Folake Ogundiya ‘f’ 13years old, Abigail Ogundiya ‘f’ 8years old, Daniel Bakare ‘m’ 6years old, Chidima Achomye ‘f’, the Nnamdi Achomye ‘m’ 2years old and Khadijat ‘f’ 1year old.

The matter has been reported at the Takwa bay Police Station for further investigation.
