Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has said that contract for the reconstruction of Abeokuta-Kobape-Oba road would soon be awarded to open up that axis of the State for rapid development.
Prince Abiodun who hinted this when he accompanied the former Governor of the State and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Olusegun Osoba to revalidate his membership of the Party at Oba ward 7, in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, also disclosed that rehabilitation work would soon commence at the St. Paul Primary School, Sodubi, in the council area.
The Governor noted that the significant roles infrastructure and education play in the socio-economic development of the society cannot be overemphasized, adding that the Commissioners for Works and Infrastructure and his counterpart in the Education, Science and Technology ministry, have been directed to carry out the rehabilitation of the school with a view to providing conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning.
Abiodun said the decision to reconstruct the road and rehabilitate the educational facility, was a reflection of the determination of the present administration to ensure even distribution of infrastructural amenities across the State.
“We will begin to rehabilitate this school, St. Paul’s Primary School, Sodubi within the next two weeks. We will mobilize to this place so that it will be befitting for our children to learn. That is how we have been doing across our wards,” the Governor noted.
The State helmsman while urging the residents to exercise patience with government as it works hard to transform the State maintained that his administration was committed to running an all inclusive government that would be beneficial to all.
Addressing party members after the revalidation exercise, Governor Abiodun appealed to party faithful to accomodate new members in the ongoing revalidation and registration exercise, adding that politics is a game of numbers which would make winning of elections easy for the party.
