Government Finances: Ogun PDP is delusional, shameless

Government Finances: Ogun PDP is delusional, shameless

Our attention has been drawn to a jaundiced statement signed by one Akinloye Bankole, who claimed to be Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ogun State, accusing Governor Dapo Abiodun of lacking in ‘ accountability, transparency and probity’.

We sincerely understand the frustration and agony of PDP, after loosing an election where they had spent fortunes and depleted their financial base thinking they could use money to buy the conscience of the good people of Ogun State, coupled with the criminal allegations of electoral fraud hanging on the neck of their ring leader, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu.

To start with, the PDP in the State should have buried their heads in shame and show sense of remorse for undermining the sanctity of electoral process with criminal audacity and by so doing embarrassing the State and her people all over Nigeria and across the globe.

Also, what moral right does gang of riggers and electoral gangsters have to talk about probity and transparency? It is simply logical that if people that are not in power could perpetrate fraud of that magnitude committed by the PDP during the March 18th governorship election in the State, such people would totally mortgage the State if given opportunity to govern, hence the reason they were ignominiously rejected by the electorate.

It is no more a news among the people of Ogun State that PDP is cancerous and unreliable, it is a bunch of ignoramus with kleptomaniac tendencies, they have proven it to everyone that they can never be trusted with power.

Lastly, Governor Dapo Abiodun, the God-fearing headsman in Ogun State is a man of probity , accountability and prudence, he has been managing the resources of the State judiciously with high degree of openness, in the exact manner he had nurtured his private business to an enviable height.

We, therefore, enjoin the PDP to quickly get over the pain of their electoral downfall and concentrate on how to face the long arm of law over the electoral infraction they brazenly committed, as we implore the good people of Ogun State to ignore the cancerous party and join Governor Dapo Abiodun in the quest for speedy development and sustainable growth.
