Gunmen after lecturer’s life, Kidnap 80-year-old father in Ogun

On Tuesday, 20th February, 2018 gunmen numbering about half a dozen recently invaded the house of 80year old PA Nojeem Omidiya at 17, old Ibadan road, Iperu demanding for the whereabouts of his son,Mr Oladipupo Omidiya, a lecturer in ICT polytechnic in Isara,Ogun State.

It was gathered that the armed bandits around last year  shot dead a man identified as Mr Ganiu Olufemi a friend of Mr Oladipupo Omidiya in Ijaiye village in the Akinyele local Government Area of Oyo state.

Confirming that attack, a closed neighbour who is close to both the deceased and his friend Mr Oladipupo Omidiya told our correspondence that the incident may based on his involvement in an audit exercise where political frauds were exposed.

The Armed bandits were said to have stormed the octogenarian  house around evening and disappeared  with him for not telling them the whereabout of his son.

Pa Omidiya was  however said to have been dropped somewhere around Ore  in Ondo State where he was allegedly  assisted back home by some good Sammarittans.

PA Nojeem Omidiya was quoted to have explained that the gunmen told him to get ready to bury his son (lecturer/ auditor)  as they would soon discover wherever he was hiding.

Mr Oladipupo Omidiya however called on the security agencies in the country to come to his aid, saying ‘I’ve never done anything wrong other than to contribute to the development of Nigeria through my professional.

He thanked God for his divine protection over him saying, I’ve done nothing to warrant such threat in my life.
