Sahara Weekly Reports That The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory has restrained a Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar, from further defaming the General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries (OFM) worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman.
Justice Edward Okpe made this order on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, even as he emphasized that the parties in the suit should maintain status quo ante bellum, pending the hearing and determination of the suit.
The actress is facing her second suit over unfounded accusations against the man of God.
Recall that by a writ of summons marked, FCT/HC/CV/7102/2023, Apostle Suleman, through his counsel Samuel Ihensekhien, is claiming one billion naira damages against Halima Abubakar over alleged libelous publications against his person on social media, which she first made in July 2022.
The suit has been adjourned to August 18, 2023 for hearing.
