HARVEST OF CRIMINALS: EDO POLICE ARREST 118 SUSPECTS IN ONE MONTH

The Edo State Police Command, yesterday, said 118 suspects have been
arrested for alleged armed robbery, murder, cultism, human trafficking
and kidnapping between 10 of August to 13 September 2017.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Haliru Gwandu disclosed this when
parading 55 suspects arrested for various crimes before Journalists at
the State Command in Benin City.
Giving the break down of the arrest, the Commmissioner of Police, said
27 fire arms, 61 live cattrages, 16 kidnappers and four vehicles were
recovered from the suspects.
He said the Command has also succeeded in charging 44 suspects to court.
The CP attributed the success recorded by his Command to the useful
information volunteered by the members of the public.
He said the police would do all in its power to make the state
conducive for business activities to thrive.
The police boss however cautioned criminal elements in the state to
repent or relocate as the Command is bent on making the state very
uncomfortable for them.
He said other suspects would be charged to court upon the completion
of investigations.
The suspects however spoke on their levels of involvements in crimes.
