On Headies Award’s display of immaturity:
l don’t expect Olamide to have made such a statement that goes to the integrity of the award even if he was in another realm, but Don Jazzy should have shown maturity by not commenting on his statement because Don Jazzy is not the organiser of the award so he did not have a right to respond. People would assume he had influence on Headies Award itself especially, he got Special Recognition Award.
Headies Award is a privilege and not a right, if any entertainer feels that there is manipulation he can reject the award: one cannot benefit from the system he does not believe in at the time wanting to ripe from it.
I am always of the opinion that Special Recognition Award should not be given to entertainers. How can you recognize someone who by his profession ought to be there if he or she so wishes.
To be factual, these are acclaimed ambassadors of MTN and Etisalat and other companies, i wonder why multi-lateral companies always prefer entertainers being ambassador rather than intellectual capacity builders.
Oga oh! Of course, if a young man seems to be greater than an organisation we can funnily call him “egbon”.
