Hill City Liberation Foundation Chairman showers Scholarship opportunity on Master Ridwan Sanusi a.k.a Egbaboi

Barrister Ahmed Dada Abass, the Chairman Hill City Liberation Foundation has pledged to sponsor the young talented boy, Egbaboi, whose creative and humorous way of speaking Yoruba using the Egba dialect has made him a house hold name in the country.

Ridwan Sanusi, popularly known as Egba-boi, first hit the platform of fame with his “Ori mi n wu” which went viral immediately after it was posted online. His creative work has attracted giants in the entertainment industry like Olamide, Azeezat Osuola, Woli Arole, and other notable acts commending the young boy’s effort.

In a recent development on the rising Egba-boi, Barrister Abass Dada Ahmed, who is the former Students’ Union President of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, and who is also an Indigene of the Ijebu decent, has pledged to sponsor Egba boi’s education from a Government school to a Private school where he is expected to complete his Secondary School Education.

Egba-boi is currently a JSS2 Student in Nawarudeen High School, Oke-Ijeun, but will be completing his secondary school education in a Private School soonest.

Barrister Abass was impressed at the creativity of the young boy, whose work is currently enjoying publicity across Ogun State and beyond.

Speaking on his pledge to sponsor Egba-boi’s education, Barrister Ahmed made it known that he was moved to see such a young boy with so much creativity embedded in him. In his words, ‘when creativity is taken for granted, other people with the creativity to make a difference will be discouraged. We have to ensure that the younger generation gets the support they need to sustain their talents’.

Egba-boi, while appreciating the Barrister for the support towards his career and education said, ‘I have reached out to many other people for support and assistance through my parents and elder ones, but I have been turned down each time I do. I’m happy and grateful to Barrister Ahmed for the sponsorship I have gotten from him. If all others will do the same to young people with creativity and talent, then many talented people would have found their way to the top’.

Barrister Whyte Habeeb, the Legal Adviser of Egba-boi also thanked Barrister Ahmed for his efforts to ensure that the creativity of the boy is sustained. Speaking after a brief meeting with the boy, his parents and Barrister Ahmed, where the agreement was signed, Barrister Whyte revealed that many other people had planned to take advantage of the boy’s creativity, wanting to use his creative works to their personal benefit. He appreciated Barrister Ahmed for taking the step to assist the young boy through his foundation Hill City Liberation Foundation.

Egba-boi will be resuming in his new school on the 30th October, 2017. He will be joining his new school and class mates, and hopefully, will grow higher in his bid to get a good education and harness his talents to the best of his ability.
